## Lesson 3D
**AUDIO TRACK 5**
(1) Hello. Open your book to the activities for Lesson 3D. (pause 6 sec)
(2) Look at Figure 1. Listen to a paragraph. You will hear it twice. After hearing it for the second time, write the main idea in a complete sentence. Listen to the first paragraph.
Good drivers must know many things. They need to learn the traffic laws, the speed limits, the highway signs, and the traffic signals. They need to learn how to drive in heavy traffic and in bad weather. They also need to know something about automobiles and how to care for them.
(3) Listen again.

(4) Now write the main idea. (pause 45 sec)
(5) Check your answer. This is the main idea: Good drivers need to know many things. You could also say, "There are many things a good driver must know."
(6) Listen to the second paragraph.
Regular checkups are important. You shouldn't go to the doctor only when you're sick. A checkup when you're healthy tells you and your doctor that you're in good shape. Then when you don't feel well, the doctor will know the things that might be wrong. You should have a complete physical examination every year.
(7) Listen again.
