(1) Hello! Open your book to the Language Laboratory Activities for Lesson 1B. (pause 6 sec)

(2) Look at Figure 1. Read the sentences silently. (pause)
Then answer the questions and repeat the correct answers.

They need a stove and a refrigerator for the kitchen. Because the living room is small, they'll only need a sofa, two chairs, and a coffee table. They'll use their old bedroom furniture because both their bed and their bookcase are just a year old. They'd like to buy new curtains, but new curtains cost a lot of money. They'll use their old ones for a year or two. Mark and Eve are using old and new things in their new house.
