TITLE: ALC English
DESCRIPTION: The American Language Course (ALC) was developed by the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC, Lackland AFB, Texas) and has taught English to military and government personnel from partner nations for decades. This edition combines the Student Texts and Language Laboratory Activities of Books 1–12 with the original tape audio, carefully adapted for interactive self-study: lessons restructured into guided sessions, illustrations redrawn, recordings re-cut, and exercises reworked for the screen.
DESCRIPTION: The American Language Course (ALC) is one of the most comprehensive English courses ever built. Developed by the Defense Language Institute (DLIELC, Lackland AFB, Texas), it has taken military and government personnel from partner nations from beginner to working proficiency for decades, with a methodology proven on tens of thousands of learners. This edition rebuilds the full course for interactive self-study — guided sessions, redrawn illustrations, the original tape audio re-cut, every exercise reworked for the screen — and makes it free for everyone. Books 1–12 are here now; Books 13–30 are coming soon.
