### WILDA AND WALTER'S TRIP
|

1.  Wilda and Walter were get-ting <u>ready</u> to go on a trip. They had to do the <u>laundry</u> because all their clothes were dirty. They washed and dried their clothes.

2.  After they finished the laundry, they packed their suitcases. They put all the <u>baggage</u> in the car. They <u>hoped to</u> leave early the next day.

### ON THE ROAD WITH WILDA AND WALTER
|

First read the paragraph silently, then read sentence by sentence and underline the correct answer.

Wilda and Walter just returned from their vacation. They stopped at many interesting places. When they needed gas, they stopped at a (gas station, grocery store). Here, Walter (filled up, ran out of) the tank. Sometimes when they stopped for gas, they also had to use (the phone, the restrooms). They asked the attendant where they were.

They stopped in several (motels, houses) and stayed for one or two nights. When Wilda was (really, not very) tired, she liked to take a warm (shower, bath).
